Cafe Merlot

FULL SERVICE CUSTOM CATERING

We appreciate the opportunity to quote on your special event. We are a custom caterer located in San Diego and have designed these menus as a brief sampling of what our Chef and staff can create especially for you.

We want your event to be special and understand there are different budgetary needs, so please do not hesitate to ask for a menu designed with your needs and taste in mind. We would be honored to assist with all of your special event needs, floral, music, decorations, rentals and special desserts.

An 22% gratuity will be added to each event held in our Cafe Merlot restaurant along with the customary tax. There will also be a uniformed Chef fee of $300.00 for each event. Set-up and clean-up hours will be included. The number of service personnel will depend on the number of people you will have in attendance, as well as whether you will have a buffet or a seated dinner.

A guaranteed number of guests will be required within 48 hours of your event. A 50% deposit will also be required to secure your event space. A 6 month cancellation policy will be required for return of your deposit. Same day cancellations will forfeit the deposit.

Romaine, crumbled gorgonzola cheese, hard boiled eggs, toasted almonds, sweet bell peppers & red onion – tossed with creamy basil balsamic vinaigrette dressing

House Merlot Salad

Mixed spring greens, sundried tomatoes, fresh grated parmesan cheese, sweet red onion and drizzled with homemade merlot dressing

Chicken Siciliano

Boneless all natural breast of chicken with chiffonade of fresh basil, sliced roma tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, with extra virgin olive oil, sundried tomatoes and whipped potatoes, served with seasonal vegetables

Honey Bar-B-Que Chicken

Honey BBQ glazed all natural chicken breast served with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Asian Chicken

Pecan and teriyaki roasted all natural chicken breast served with wild rice blend and seasonal vegetables

Artichoke Chicken

Marinated all natural chicken fillet topped with tender artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes and feta cheese served with rice pilaf and seasonal vegetables

Lemon Basil Chicken

Lemon herb grilled all natural chicken breast with a lemon basil cream sauce served with roasted new baby red potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Mushroom Herb Chicken

All natural chicken breast, herb roasted with basil mushroom duxelle, served with roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Peanut Thai Chicken

Thai peanut glazed all natural chicken breast served with wild rice blend and seasonal vegetables

Please note that on-site catering price per person includes: house choice of linens and color coordinated cloth napkins, house linens for cake, beverage and gift table, white china plates, silverware, coffee cups and champagne flutes for toasting, cake cutting service, regular & decaffeinated coffee and iced tea with fresh cut lemon (espresso, flavored coffee and coffee flavors available upon request for an additional charge). *Seated Dinners include rustic artisan bread with butter.
